First, wash the peppers and trim the stems.

Drop the peppers into your bottle.  I am re-using some nice looking Grolsch beer bottles.


Then, just cover with vinegar.  You can use whatever vinegar you prefer.  I used white distilled vinegar.

Pesto is typically made with not only basil, but also pine nuts or walnuts.  I decided to take a different tack.  I used locally grown pecans like a good little locavore, and I added a jalapeno for a little zing.
